Malteaser

 

Our first Islay grown - and Islay malted - barley is to distilled next week.


This will be the first Bruichladdich-malted whisky produced since WWII.


A small scale experimental malting was carried out recently with, so far, surprisingly good results. Having been milled and mashed yesterday, it is currently fermenting well. Early indications are that its gravity is even marginally higher than usual.
